About

P2P is an educational resource that allows members of the developmentally different community to come together to educate, collaborate, and advocate for one another.

Navigating the complicated path of the special education world can be daunting and I have been on both sides of the table as a parent and professional advocate.   My personal experience coupled with my professional training and background has given me first-hand knowledge to relate to my clients and their families.

I am a Behavior Specialist with a Master of Science in Psychology - Applied Behavior Analysis and a trained Master IEP Coach. I have provided support services in the capacity of Neurodevelopmental and Behavior Therapist, Inclusion Specialist, IEP, 504 plan Coach and Family and Advocate.  Working with developmentally diverse children from K-12 in both the public and private school sectors has made me an effective Support Specialist and an effective leader in the Autism community.  In addition, I love working with pre-teen and tween populations as a social skills coach, assisting the special needs population to obtain necessary life skills in fun and engaging ways.

IEP Meeting

Who should have a Coach at the IEP meeting? – anyone can benefit from the added eyes and ears at the IEP meeting.  But if you aren’t sure about how the process works, are nervous about what to expect, feel intimidated by the team, need someone to speak up on your behalf, take notes or offer moral support – an IEP Coach is the perfect choice.

Brandi will physically attend a meeting within 50 miles of her location. Additionally she can attend via conference call or video conference.

What is included in the cost of the meeting? – consultation and meeting prep, actual meeting time, and post meeting letter to the team thanking them and summarizing key points.

If a follow up meeting is scheduled then hourly rates apply.  Billing is done in half hour increments for actual meeting time.

$250

IEP Review

A deep dive into all areas of the IEP and includes a written report with recommendations and letter of advocacy that you can send to the team.

Who needs an IEP Review? –  Anyone who wants to make sure the IEP is optimized to the unique needs of their child.  OR, anyone who is experiencing a breakdown in team communication or the way the IEP is being implemented.

You will sign a consent and fill out a short questionnaire about any areas of concerns.  You will digital copy of the complete IEP (which you can obtain from the school if you don’t have one) to be emailed to her.

You will have the completed report and advocacy letter within 2 weeks.
